Hi, my name is Abosede , and I’m the founder of Miss Solle.

Growing up in Sicily, as the daughter to a shoemaker, creativity has always been a big part of my life. Before Miss Solle, I was an artist, so I’ve always loved working with colour, shape and little details and turning ideas in my head into something real.

I stayed designing ballet shoes 13 years ago when my daughters were little. I loved creating something beautiful that they could actually wear, and those early designs quietly became the beginning of what I’m doing today.

One day my daughter came home with a new pair of Tabis. I adored their unusual silhouette and how much personality they could bring to an outfit, but I wanted to create my own versions that had better materials and were more affordable. That idea eventually grew into Miss Solle.

Miss Solle was inspired by my father’s favourite card game so it feels like a lovely way to carry a little piece of him and his shoemaking into what I do today. Many of the skills I use when designing were first taught to me by him when I was younger, so in many ways, Miss Solle feels like a continuation of something that started long before the store did.

Today, I run Miss Solle alongside my two daughters from our office in London. We’re a small family business, so everything is still very hands-on and personal.

And we’re only just getting started. I’m already excited to move beyond our first Tabis and design more shoes and clothing.  There’s so much I want to create, and I can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.
